James Tzul has been working with Groundwork RI since 2022 and started as a youth for our Pawtucket/Central Falls Green Change Makers. James strengthened their leadership skills throughout the years and now leads and coordinates the Green Change Makers! James also works in helping process compost, maintain our green spaces, tree stewardship, environmental literacy, and more – all while helping lead youth! They’re passionate about environmental advocacy and educating community members on environmental injustices happening throughout their local community.

They love gardening and creating food systems for community, as well as sharing herbal tips and tricks – they hope to gain more knowledge on herbalism in the future. Currently they’re studying environmental sustainability and agriculture!
