Jacq (pronounced “Jack”) joined Groundwork RI in the spring of 2021. She works on Groundwork RI’s tree planting initiatives across Central Falls, Pawtucket, and Providence, and helps design landscape projects with GroundCorp. Since joining Groundwork RI, she has enjoyed learning more about trees and urban forestry and talking to community members about tree equity. She is excited about working on community gardens and creating beautiful and fun green spaces at schools. Jacq loves a good sidewalk, and wants to continue planting as many street trees in Central Falls, Pawtucket, and Providence as she can! She’s a fan of graphic design and has fun making posters, fliers, and pamphlets for Groundwork RI.

Jacq studied architecture and environmental management at Yale. Her research focused on environmental justice in water management in Mexico City from a design and political ecology perspective. Besides working with Groundwork RI, Jacq has also worked in sculpture and architecture.
