Currie Touloumtzis

Urban Tree Program Manager

Currie joined Groundwork RI in April of 2023. She works on Groundwork RI’s tree planting initiatives for the GWRI USDA American Forests Landscape Scale Restoration grant, and resolution funds from the Attorney General of the State of Rhode Island. She loves learning about trees as her job! She’s excited to promote these programs and tree equity and enjoys getting to know people in the communities this work serves. Currie studied social and behavioral sciences at Boston University School of Public Health and has over 8 years of grants and data management experience for both federal and foundation grants. She’s interested in the connections between sustainability and food systems, and the value of green spaces in a community. When Currie isn’t working, she loves gardening and hiking with her dog, husband, and son.
